Mapúa University - Computing, Information and Technologies Alumni Association, Inc.
The Mapúa University – Computing, Information and Technologies Alumni Association Inc. or MUCITAA INC. was founded on February 2018 when a group of young alumni from the School of Information Technology were called by Dean Ariel Kelly D. Balan to form a new organization separate from the old defunct association.
The group, composed of the different batches of graduates, started out a small project through a benefit screening of Avengers: Infinity Wars as its first activity both as a charity event and fund raising campaign for the organization. The event proved successful when it donated its proceeds to Kythe Foundation, a charity for children with Cancer, with some funds left, it was enough to kick start the organization.
Immediately, MUCITAA INC. was welcomed by the National Association of Mapúa Alumni Inc. (NAMA Inc.) as its youngest affiliate where the MUCITAA President would serve as representative of the Organization to NAMA. By November 2018, it was accredited by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) of the Philippines as a non-stock, non-profit organization.
In this fast-paced IT industry, we strive to help create resilient graduates, opportunities for growth, and to give back to the School and the Community.
Be the Foremost Organization of Mapúan IT Professionals anywhere in the world.
