Mapúan Team Wins Second Place in ERPsim Philippines Student Friendly Competition 2022

Mapúan teams finished strong in the ERPsim Philippines Student Friendly Competition 2022 held last November 25 via Zoom meeting.
Mapúa Team 1 consisting of BS Information Systems students: Maria Shaina Apolinar, Janelle Anne Santiago, Arianna Coleen Ochua, Ma. Gracia Kim Brela, and Erin Reese Lorzano placed second to the team from the University of the Cordilleras.
Ma. Bernadeth Oliverio, Trinah Mae Vinluan, Jeatel Raphaela Tayam, Angelo Sebaxtian Vasquez, and Prisilla Amiel Sarto of Mapúa Team 2 finished fourth, while Team 3 consisting of Justin Louis Caañgay, Devon Earl Panes, Lorenz Martin Pineda, Lyle Huan, and Renz Angelo Aguirre placed in the Top 9. The teams were coached by School of IT faculty members Engr. Antonette Gabriel, Engr. Grace Lorraine Intal, and Geldof Resuello.
ERPsim stands for Enterprise Resource Planning Simulation, making students experience real-life business scenarios using SAP ERP and SAP S/4HANA platforms. The competition was based on Manufacturing Extended Game where teams from various Philippine universities competed to maximize the company's valuation in three rounds of 20 business days each.
The Mapúan team along with the teams from the University of the Cordilleras, Asia Pacific College, and the University of Santo Tomas will represent the Philippines in the upcoming ERPsim Asia Pacific Japan Competition to be held in April 2023.
