Mapúan Team wins silver in SEA GameJam, advances to GameJam+ Continental Semifinals
Team Orient, composed of BS Entertainment and Multimedia Computing (EMC) students namely: Alexander Angeles A. Balingao, Kurt Neil P. Varela, Kayle Lester L. Marfil, and Daniel Kyle N. Tala, secured a 1st runner up win in the SEA Game Jam, with a reward of 2,000 Malaysian Ringgits. They are one of the two winners from the Philippines earning them a spot in the GameJam+ Continental Semifinals (Third Stage).
GameJam+ is divided into 4 stages which lasts for 7 months. SEA GameJam and GameJam+ are a game development marathon competition in which the participants are given 48 hours to produce a game based on the given theme. The event aims to foster the international creative industry with new games and companies, uniting efforts, and interests from different developer hubs around the world.
Congratulations and Good Luck to Team Orient for the 3rd stage as they represent Mapúa and the Philippines for the chance to make it to the super final in São Paulo, Brazil in January 2021.
